It's OK. Watching a film and not knowing you will be in a tiny cinema sucks the joy out of seeing a movie 'on the big screen'. If the cinema is smaller, the tickets should be equally smaller in price. Now having to introduce the idea of identifying which is a tiny screen before booking means I am more likely to wait until the movie comes out on Netflix. The experience is not much different.
Nice environment, great snack bar, including ice cream and smoothies, even adult beverages, and a coffee shop in the lobby. Multiple screen options and comfortable waiting area seating were a plus. Theatre seats could do with an upgrade but were fine. No immediate parking but bus stop right out front and a great downtown location.

Great theatre, good location close to car parks and restaurants. I would not recommend the restaurant attached to the theatre. The food was not good, the fact that only 2 tables where occupied is indicative of local opinion. I'd definitely visit again, and eat elsewhere.
I've spent a lot of time at the mercury doing shows and I can say it is the best stage i have ever had the pleasure of performing on. The staff are lovely, the food is great, the tech is up to date, and I'm sure that the new facilities coming with the mercury rising campaign will make it an even better stage to perform on. If you have the chance to work at the Mercury I would recommend you 100%. I cannot wait until I next work at the Mercury Theatre

Lovely old theatre. Excellent staff. Some great productions too.
An intimate theatre, with spaces to hire, where you can find a wide variety of events, including great drama and music.

Sadly not as well presented as it should be
