Local Restaurants & Places to Eat around Colchester

Sloppy Joe's American Bar & Restaurant

37 High St, Colchester CO1 1DH, UK – 01206 577229

Food is really good, however they had no ribs when we went! A bit sad given it's so called high reputation. Prices were fair and the staff polite and helpful.

Large, filling plates. The menu is simple but broad offering a full selection of American type dishes. The pasta is amazing having great full taste.

Noodle Zone Restaurant

19-21 Crouch St, Colchester CO3 3EN, UK – 01206 575111

The noodle zone is our favourite "too tired to cook" restaurant. It is always welcoming, the food is always carefully prepared and excellent value for money. The Malaysian specialties are great, and for comfort food, the noodle soups are terrific: won ton soup and duck soup are our favourites. Watch for the specials.

The food here is really really good. I am not even joking. I really like the Malaysian food! Highly recommend Nasi Lemak or their Malaysian set meal if you want to try the Malaysian food👍🏿

59 High St, Colchester C01 1DH, UK – 01206 570420

Fantastic food and really friendly staff, the meat was all fresh and tasted amazing! Initially you think it's a bit pricey at £20 a head but then if you went out somewhere for a starter and steak you could pay a lot more than that!! Buffet had great choices including lots of pasta and more meat than just the ones on offer by the servers! Definitely would go again and there is a children's option too.

All you can eat with 2 set menu choices and a children's option (same choices just cheaper). The food was absolutely amazing, if I could've managed more I would never have left. Service was exemplary and they went out of their way to accommodate my daughter when she asked for something to draw with whilst she was waiting.
